The Main School is situated on Castlebar Road at the junction with Eaton Rise, a 5 minute walk from Ealing Broadway Station across Haven Green. The Pre-Prep department is also on Castlebar Road, with the Junior School nearby in Longfield Road.

Public Transport
Ealing Broadway Station serves the District and Central Lines, as well as National Rail from London Paddington. When exiting the station, walk across Haven Green to reach Castlebar Road. Continue past Haven Green Church to the Main School which is located at the junction with Eaton Rise. The School Office is on the First Floor of the Main Building.

By Road
The school is close to the A4020 Uxbridge Road, main routes nearby are the A40/M40, the A4/M4 and the A406 North Circular Road.
Please note that there are no on-site parking facilities. The CPZ close to the school operates 9-10am and 3-4pm weekdays. Pay-by-phone bays are available in nearby streets.
Playing Fields
Durston House has two playing fields, one near the school in Carlton Road, and the other located in Northfields.
Castlebar Playing Field
The entrance is on Carlton Road, facing Carlton Gardens. There are no on-site parking facilities.

Durston House School Travel Plan
Durston House School is committed to ensuring that everyone travelling to and from the school can do so as safely as possible. The school encourages staff, pupils and parents to make transport choices that demonstrate absolute regard for the need to minimise potential damage to the environment.
Aim:
- To change the travel habits of our community; educating and informing all members, of the importance of sustainable travel
- To encourage the families of our boys to walk, cycle, scoot or use public transport more often when travelling to school
- To introduce a range of initiatives to assist with travel choices
Parking
There is no parking at the school for parents. All parents are encouraged to use other sustainable modes of transport when travelling to school to drop off or pick up their sons.
There are secure cycle racks at each of the three school sites for staff, pupils and visitors to use.
Public Transport
Durston House is well-served by tube, rail and bus routes. Ealing Broadway Rail and Underground Station is only 500 metres from the school (a 6 minute walk).
Bus Routes
The school is in a good location for bus services in Ealing and West London. The E1, E2, E7, E8, E9, E10 & E11, 207, 297, 427 & 483 buses all have stops very close to the school and serve a wide area, on a frequent basis.

Walking, Cycling and Scooting
A travel survey was carried out in February 2017. It was interesting to note that an encouraging number of pupils and staff walk, cycle or scoot to school. A second survey was actioned in May 2019. The results will be published here in due course.
The School Council are involved in initiatives celebrate those who walk to school regularly and to encourage others to do this more often. Further details of these will be displayed here in due course.

The Travel Plan will be promoted on the School’s website and notice boards, at Open Mornings, in newsletters and at School Council and Staff meetings.
At the time of the issue of this Interim Travel Plan, the School has prepared and submitted a planning application to consolidate the three school sites within a new school building on Carlton Road. This Interim Travel Plan has been produced to consider Travel Plan matters in the interim period.
