Durston House School Travel Plan
Durston House School is committed to ensuring that everyone travelling to and from the school can do so as safely as possible. The school encourages staff, pupils and parents to make transport choices that demonstrate absolute regard for the need to minimise potential damage to the environment.
- To change the travel habits of our community; educating and informing all members, of the importance of sustainable travel
- To encourage the families of our boys to walk, cycle, scoot or use public transport more often when travelling to school
- To introduce a range of initiatives to assist with travel choices
There is no parking at the school for parents. All parents are encouraged to use other sustainable modes of transport when travelling to school to drop off or pick up their sons.
There are secure cycle racks at each of the three school sites for staff, pupils and visitors to use.
Durston House is well-served by tube, rail and bus routes. Ealing Broadway Rail and Underground Station is only 500 metres from the school (a 6 minute walk).
The school is in a good location for bus services in Ealing and West London. The E1, E2, E7, E8, E9, E10 & E11, 207, 297, 427 & 483 buses all have stops very close to the school and serve a wide area, on a frequent basis.
Details of the public transport services are displayed on notice boards outside the school.

|Mode of Transport||Number||% of Total|
|Public Transport||47||10.4 %|
|Scoot / Cycle||43||9.6 %|
|Car Share||9||2.0 %|
The School Council are involved in initiatives celebrate those who walk to school regularly and to encourage others to do this more often.
