Durston House is an independent preparatory school for boys aged 4-13. Our aim is to provide an education that allows learning to be an adventure, and where academic excellence is balanced with a wider curriculum including performing arts and team sports.
As with any family, Durston House aims to provide a framework of values and expectations that create the best atmosphere to learn and develop. Our teaching staff encourage and praise achievement in all areas of school life, while remaining focused on core standards and purpose. |

Every boy achieves his potential
At a pastoral level, Durston House never loses sight of each child as an individual, ensuring that every one achieves his potential. We're very proud that we're able to maintain small class sizes that enable us to dedicate more time to each pupil. We're also proud of how we build close relationships with parents through regular reports, teacher/parent evenings, and informal coffee mornings, receptions and hosting of the Durston House Parents' Association activities.
