Founded by the brothers B C and R M Pearce, Durston House was privately owned for a hundred years. The educational charity that now runs the School was launched in 1986, centenary year. Durston House has since grown to over three times the numbers it had then. We now enjoy many benefits of being a big modern school that has kept alive the simple virtues of the best traditional prep schools, generally much smaller. |
