The Durston House curriculum encompasses the national curriculum and its assessments - and a whole lot more. In addition to core literacy, numeracy, and science, our pupils also enjoy many other subjects. These include French from Year 3 (7-8 year olds), Latin from Year 6 (10-11 year olds), and music throughout the whole school.
Additionally we offer a wide ranging programme of extra activities after school. We are also able to arrange individual instrumental lessons with visiting specialist teachers.

A few parents will choose senior schools for entry at 11+ for their sons; most will choose to stay at Durston House until the age of 13. In both cases, we are well-equipped to prepare students for the appropriate entrance examinations, Common Entrance or Scholarship Examinations. |
