Creative arts play a significant and integral part in the teaching curriculum.
All pupils study music and many play musical instruments. A number of our older pupils have gone on to win music awards at their senior schools.
All the world's a stage
All Durston House pupils relish involvement in the performing arts. There are major stage productions for each section of the school throughout the three terms of the school year and a large-scale musical concert at the end of the Spring Term. |

The form-based assemblies throughout the year and afternoon 'Tea Concerts' afford further opportunities for pupils to perform to wider audiences.
Significantly, we understand the importance of the relationship of art and design with academic learning and deliberately link arts and crafts activities with both science and IT based teaching. |
